Despite their complementary nature, there is still work to be done to link LCSA metrics to SDGs goals more consistently. One of the major findings of the research is the identification of a lack of consensus and a harmonized approach for setting up and analyzing the connections between SDGs and LCSA. The paper leverages LCSA literature and employs text-mining analysis to explore how the linkages between product LCSA and SDGs have been addressed thus far, shedding light on critical challenges and needs for establishing a coherent and operational connection between the two frameworks.

However, the integration between SDGs and LCSA has been limited, with untapped potential for synergies. These frameworks are used by practitioners to assess sustainability at different levels, ranging from territorial to process, product, or organizational levels. In sustainability, two fundamental frameworks, the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals ( #SDGs) and the life cycle sustainability assessment ( #LCSA) framework introduced by UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative, play pivotal roles. This paper delves into the crucial topic of integrating sustainability assessment frameworks.
